📖 Advance Adventurer Course Overview
The SSI Advanced Adventurer program is designed to give certified Open Water Divers a taste of five different specialty areas without committing to full specialty certifications. Over three days, you'll complete five open water training dives, each introducing a new skill set.
The course includes dives in Deep Diving (experience depths to 30m/100ft), Underwater Navigation (master compass and natural navigation), and three additional specialties of your choice — options include Night Diving, Perfect Buoyancy, Wreck Diving, Enriched Air Nitrox, or Search & Recovery. Each dive is preceded by a comprehensive briefing covering theory specific to that specialty.
This program dramatically expands your diving capabilities and confidence. You'll learn to plan deeper dives, navigate unfamiliar sites, control your buoyancy precisely, and handle various environmental conditions. The experience counts toward the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver certification and each dive can be credited toward the full specialty certification if you choose to complete it later.
Upon successful completion, you'll earn the SSI Advanced Adventurer certification, demonstrating your ability to handle more challenging dives and opening up advanced dive sites worldwide.

The SSI Advance Single Trial program is the perfect introduction to specialty diving. In just one day, you can experience any SSI specialty area with a single training dive, allowing you to discover what interests you most before committing to full certification.
Choose from Deep Diving (experience depths to 30m), Underwater Navigation (master compass skills), Night Diving (explore after dark), Perfect Buoyancy (improve your control), Wreck Diving (explore sunken structures within light zone), or Enriched Air Nitrox (learn to analyze and dive with Nitrox). Each trial includes a brief theory session followed by one supervised open water training dive.
This flexible program is ideal for divers who want to expand their skills but aren't ready for a multi-day commitment. It's also perfect for sampling different specialties to decide which full certification to pursue later. The experience counts toward the Advanced Adventurer program and can be credited toward the full specialty certification when you choose to complete it.
Upon completion, you'll receive recognition for your trial dive, which can be applied toward future specialty training. No certification is issued, but you gain valuable experience and insight into that specialty area.
